Booking Policy
Cancellation Policy
Registration is made in writing via WhatsApp or through the booking form on our website. Your booking becomes binding once we receive your registration. For Tshau Getaway, the booking becomes binding once we send a written confirmation including the invoice by email.
Payments Due After Booking
- A deposit of 30% of the total retreat price is due within two weeks after receiving the booking confirmation.
- The remaining balance must be paid no later than eight weeks before the arrival date.
- For bookings made less than eight weeks before the arrival date, the full amount is due immediately.
A written payment confirmation and receipt will be sent after each payment. Payments can be made via bank transfer, PayPal, or credit card. Detailed payment instructions will be provided in the booking confirmation email.
Late Payments
If payment deadlines are not met after at least one reminder, Tshau Getaway reserves the right to cancel the booking.
In such cases:
- the participant may forfeit the deposit, and
- the cancellation policy applies.
Cancellation by the Participant
If you wish to cancel your booking, please contact us as soon as possible.
Please note:
- All deposits (30% of the full price) are non-refundable, regardless of the timing of cancellation.
- If cancellation occurs less than eight weeks before the start of the retreat, no refund can be provided.
- If cancellation occurs less than eight weeks before arrival but we can resell your spot, we may offer a partial refund at our discretion; however, this is not guaranteed.
We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance to cover unexpected situations that may prevent you from traveling. Our cancellation policy helps us cover costs for our vendors and compensate for the risk that we may not be able to resell your spot.
- Cancelation or Changes by Tshau Getaway
We may withdraw from the travel contract before the trip in the following cases:
- Minimum Number of Participants Not Met: If the advertised minimum number of six participants is not reached, we may cancel the retreat no later than four weeks before the start date. Payments already made by the participant will be refunded promptly.
- Extraordinary circumstances: If the retreat cannot be carried out due to events such as epidemics, severe weather, natural disasters, war, or any comparable risk that makes participation unreasonable, we may terminate the travel contract with immediate effect. Payments already made will be refunded, with reasonable costs deducted if applicable.
- Interruption after Retreat start: Should extraordinary circumstances require the retreat to end after it has already begun, refunds may be offered proportionally for unused days or services, depending on the situation and external costs.
- Changes, Transfers & Substitutions
Name changes or transferring your booking to another person is always. Additional costs may apply. Rebooking to another retreat date is not guaranteed but may be offered at our discretion, depending on availability and timing.
- Liability and Participant Responsibility
Participants are responsible for arranging their own travel and ensuring timely arrival at the retreat location. Tshau Getaway is not liable for missed travel connections or delays caused by external factors.
Participation in surfing, yoga, and other activities is at the participant’s own risk. Tshau Getaway is not liable for injuries, illnesses, or damages occurring during the retreat. We recommend purchasing travel and health insurance.
Surfing and other physical activities can be demanding and involve risk. By joining Tshau Getaway, you agree to participate responsibly and follow the instructions of staff and teachers.
Photo & Video Consent
During the retreat, we may take photos or videos for marketing purposes (website, social media, promotional materials). We will always ask for your consent on site. If you do not wish to be photographed or filmed, simply inform us — we fully respect your preference.
Data Protection
All personal data collected during the booking process will be used solely for retreat-related purposes and will not be shared with third parties without prior consent.
Governing Law & Jurisdiction
This booking policy and any contract arising from it are governed by German law. Jurisdiction is the location of Tshau Getaway’s registered business address.
Severability Clause
The invalidity of individual provisions does not render the travel contract or the remaining provisions of the fine print invalid.
