my name is Jana
I grew up in Germany and have spent the last years exploring different corners of the world, surfing waves, meeting incredible people, and discovering what it truly means to feel at home wherever life takes me. I work as a psychologist (M.Sc.), surf instructor, and certified yoga teacher (200h). Over the years, as my path has led me across different countries and coastlines, it shaped both my personal and professional journey. I became a certified surf instructor through the German Surfing Association and completed 200h Vinyasa and 50h Yin Yoga teacher trainings, teaching people from all backgrounds and creating inclusive, empowering spaces. Today, I integrate psychology, yoga, and surfing into programs that support self-awareness, resilience, and meaningful connection. My work is rooted in the belief that personal growth flourishes when people come together – whether on the mat, in the water, or in a shared experience. At the heart of all of that is the deep desire to shape connection through shared moments – with yourself, with others, and with the world around you. So, are you ready to turn the page and begin the next episode of your story?
vision
In 2019, I did my first surf trip to the Canary Islands. Over the years, I fell in love, with the feeling of dancing on water and the connection with nature and the sea. But what fascinates me most about surfing is the unexpected that comes with, every session, even every wave. The sense of unpredictability. Never knowing, what will happen when you paddle out into the ocean takes away your feeling of, control. This unpredictability is what keeps me coming back to it as it serves as a, reminder that life is about embracing the unknown, being able to adapt, and, letting go of your expectations. As a psychologist, I truly believe in the positive impact that sports can have on, one’s physical and mental well-being. But it wasn’t until I experienced this myself, that I realized how much of an impact it actually has. Consequently, for me, surfing, has become more than a hobby but a passion, as it has taught me to be present, and embrace the beauty of unpredictability.
Little did I know that surfing would completely transform my life just five years, later. For me, surfing opened the door to many places. It led me live in different corners of the world, meet the most beautiful people, and find home in different communities.
It is like deep diving not only into the water, but into places, cultures, and human connection. Bonds that shape far beyond the ocean. Therefore, my vision expanded beyond riding waves, as sports have the power to create community and inclusive spaces, fostering a feeling of belongingness and bringing people together. Sports should be a platform for change, connection, and understanding while keeping social responsibilities at the forefront. As a psychologist, yoga teacher, and surf instructor, I found my passion in creating spaces where people can connect and grow. Both, individually and as a community. Holding space for these shared experiences has become the heart of my work. This episodes mark a beginning of this shared journey and long friendship. I’m excited to share the I’ve carefully designed and can’t wait to discover this episodes with you.

some impressions from my last 7 years of surfing, studying and doing yoga.
