a day from sunset to sunrise
7:30 AM – Sunrise Yoga Session: Start the day with a Vinyasa flow, focusing on grounding and finding balance of body and mind for the day whilst soaking up the morning sun.
9:00 AM – Nourishing Breakfast: A healthy and delicious breakfast with fresh local ingredients prepared by Anna will energize us for the day.
10:30 AM – Surf Lesson: Let’s head to the beach for a surf lesson led by local experts. Practice catching waves, learn about the ocean’s rhythms, and immerse yourself in the joy of surfing.
3:00 PM – Return to the villa: Take time to explore the Island, lounge by the pool, or simply relax in the villas areas.
5:00 PM – Psychology Workshop, e.g., "Embracing Uncertainty": dive into a reflective session combining guided exercises and group discussions to explore how we can navigate change and find peace in the unknown, drawing inspiration from the ocean.
7:30 PM – Sunset Dinner: gather for a communal dinner prepared by Anna, sharing stories of the day and relax together.
9:00 PM – Let’s end the day with some Yin-Yoga to calm down!
surf lessons
For the surf lessons, I will work together with a local surf school in Fuerteventura. A local surfers knowledge about the waves, tide and the conditions ensures that everyone not only has a safe and fun experience but also gets to explore the best spots around the island. Supporting local surf schools contributes to preserving the island’s unique surf culture and empowers those who live and work there. Consequently, it fosters a connection between us as visitors and the local community, and hopefully transforming tourism into a more mindful and sustainable exchange. In nine days, we will have five surf classes (held in English) - spread out to allow for rest, recovery, and the opportunity to fully enjoy the experience. This relaxed schedule not only ensures that everyone has the energy to make the most of each lesson but also leaves time to explore the island, connect with fellow participants, and soak in the unique atmosphere of Fuerteventura.
yoga classes
Perfectly on time before the retreat begins, I completed my 200-hour Hatha and Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training. For the yoga sessions, we will flow through carefully curated Vinyasa and Hatha practices tailored to complement our surf lessons. Each session is designed to help you find balance, improve flexibility, and reconnect with yourself. Morning classes will energize us for the day ahead, while evening sessions will focus on winding down and reflecting on the experiences we’ve shared. Over the course of nine days, we will enjoy six yoga practices (offered in English or German) in our villa, surrounded by the serene Fuerteventura landscape. These sessions will not only deepen your yoga practice but also create space for mindfulness, connection, and a sense of community.
psychological approach
For this one, I am truly excited because it serves as a way to make this experience unique and combines all my skills. I will offer three psychology workshops designed to deepen your understanding of yourself and your connection to others. These workshops will draw from principles of mindfulness, self-compassion, and positive psychology to explore themes such as resilience, stress management, and personal growth. The workshops will be inspired by the therapeutic elements of surf therapy and sports therapy in general. We’ll use the ocean and its calmness as a metaphor—learning to embrace uncertainty, adapt to changes, and find joy in the present moment.
Through guided exercises, reflective journaling, and group discussions, these workshops provide a safe and supportive space to align body and mind. Surfing teaches us to stay present and grounded, yoga helps us reconnect with our breath and body, and these workshops will integrate these insights, giving you tools to foster mental clarity, emotional balance, and a deeper sense of purpose. Together, they create a holistic experience.

I'm beyond excited to host the first getaway at a beautiful Villa in Fuerteventura. It’s a place where we can connect and come together in the spacious, open areas, while also finding tranquility in the stunning, thoughtfully designed spaces — perfect for both, shared moments and personal downtime.

This getaway is all about celebrating the exchange of talents within and beyond the circle of people around us, and I’m thrilled that my friend Anna will be joining me to create beautiful vegetarian breakfasts and dinners. Her creativity and love for food is what will make breakfast and dinner truly special to enjoy together.
